EFMI STC & OneAquaHealth/E4Warning
Joint Conference 2026
Biodiversity, One Health & Digital Health
Biodiversity, One Health & Digital Health
Since 2001, the European Federation for Medical Informatics has organized a Special Topic Conference each year to empower the EFMI Working Groups.
This year, the GBHI, the Greek Biomedical Informatics and Health Informatics, supports a new format of the conference.
The EFMI, together with GBHI and the working groups of IncHI and ODH, opens the conference to two EU-funded projects: OneAquaHealth and E4Warning.
This joint conference brings together a vibrant, interdisciplinary community of scientists, practitioners, and innovators who share a common vision: advancing health through the integration of environmental, biological, and digital perspectives. At a time when global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and emerging health threats are increasingly interconnected, fostering collaboration across domains has never been more critical.
Over three days, participants will engage with cutting-edge research and innovative approaches in areas such as AI-driven health analytics, digital public health, ecosystem health, early warning systems, and human-centered, inclusive health informatics. Through keynote lectures, scientific sessions, workshops, and discussions, we aim to create a dynamic environment that promotes knowledge exchange, critical thinking, and new partnerships.
We are especially honored to host distinguished speakers and an international scientific community, contributing to a high-quality, peer-reviewed program that ensures both scientific excellence and meaningful impact.
Beyond the scientific program, we invite you to experience the unique culture and hospitality of Crete, a place where history, nature, and innovation meet.
Join us in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, in 2026!
Early-career researchers are especially encouraged to participate.
The joint conference co-chairs welcome you to EFMI STC 2026 & OneAquaHealth / E4Warning
